Laser-induced operations with charge qubits in a double-well nanostructure

چکیده
Abstract We present the results of theoretical studies on operations with charge qubits in the system composed of two tunnel-coupled semiconductor quantum dots whose two lowest states (localized in different dots) define the logical qubit states while two excited states (delocalized between the dots) serve for the electron transfer from one dot to another under the influence of the laser pulse. It is shown that in the case of small energy separation between the excited levels, the optimal (from the viewpoint of minimal single-qubit operation time and maximum operation fidelity) strategy is to tune the laser frequency between the excited levels. The pulse parameters for implementation of the quantum NOT operation are determined. Analytical results obtained in the rotating-wave approximation are confirmed by rigorous numerical calculations.

Synthesis of Three-Layered Magnetic Based Nanostructure for Clinical Application
The main objective of this research was to synthesize and characterize gold-coated Fe3O4 /SiO2 nanoshells for clinical applications. Magnetite nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared via co-precipitation. The results showed that smaller particles can be synthesized by decreasing the NaOH concentration, which in our case this corresponded to 35 nm by using 0.9 M of NaOH at 750 rpm. The NPs were then m...
متن کاملDeterministic teleportation of electrons in a quantum dot nanostructure.
We present a proposal for deterministic quantum teleportation of electrons in a semiconductor nanostructure consisting of a single and a double quantum dot. The central issue addressed in this Letter is how to design and implement the most efficient--in terms of the required number of single and two-qubit operations--deterministic teleportation protocol for this system. Using a group-theoretica...
متن کاملCharge qubit rotations in a double-dot nanostructure
Quantum operations with a charge solid-state qubit whose logical states are formed by two spatially separated localized states of an electron in the double-dot structure are studied theoretically. We show that it is possible to perform various one-qubit rotations making use of the microwave pulses tuned to the resonances between the localized states and the excited state delocalized over the na...
متن کاملConditional rotation of two strongly coupled semiconductor charge qubits
Universal multiple-qubit gates can be implemented by a set of universal single-qubit gates and any one kind of entangling two-qubit gate, such as a controlled-NOT gate. For semiconductor quantum dot qubits, two-qubit gate operations have so far only been demonstrated in individual electron spin-based quantum dot systems. Here we demonstrate the conditional rotation of two capacitively coupled c...
متن کاملInvestigation of Thermal Dispersion and Thermally-Induced Birefringence on High-Power Double Clad Yb:Glass Fiber Laser
In this work the effects of heat generation on the modes of Yb:Glass double clad fiber laser were investigated. The thermal dispersion and thermally-induced birefringence were considered when the gain medium becomes an anisotropic medium. The results showed considerable modifications of laser modes profiles, in particular for transfer magnetic (TM) and transfer electric (TE) modes which their p...
